Music Video
Music Video
During the height of the COVID - 19 pandemic, I spent a lot of time at my house. I was bored, so I decided that I would remake a music video for a song that I like. The song is called "Cold, Cold, Cold" and it's by Cage the Elephant. When I was listening to the song, it made me think of a person who is going crazy, so I decided to make my own version of the music video for this song. The music video shows a person going crazy. It took me several weeks to film since I had to do a lot of makeup, and setup for each shot took a long time.
I think that by making this music video, I am fulfilling the CAS outcome "Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience". This project was initiated by me, and I had to plan each aspect of it, form what I wanted the story to be to how I was going to edit. This project really helped me learn a lot of useful things about film, which is good for me because I want to study filmmaking in college. This project also helped me get better at editing since I tried a lot of things that I had never done before. By making this music video, I was able to realize how much time and effort goes into making even a short film. The amount of time I spent on the project really helped build my patience and determination, since it could be frustrating at times. All in all, I think that this project was a really good learning experience for me, and I would definitely do something like it again.
